I’m Catherine Rees the owner of Access Admin. A madly passionate Welsh rugby supporter living in rural West Wales. I grew up in Cardiff and then spent most of my teenage life in Llantwit Major before venturing afield to Marlborough in Wiltshire and finally settling back in the glorious countryside of West Wales.
I started my career working as a PA in Cardiff, before moving on to manage an environmental project connected with Welsh councils and schools. I then made a complete change of direction and worked as a senior manager in a well known retail chain, managing one of their largest distribution and transhipment operations.
In my last eleven years or so, prior to setting up Access Admin, I've had various roles at Director level in the financial services sector. These roles have included both operational and project management and included reorganising contact centres, introducing process improvements, managing field operations, to directing a regulated complaint handling function. It was whilst I was working on a regulated project in Birmingham that I was proud to be awarded a Customer Focus global award by a well known general insurance company.
In every role I have undertaken, one thing has been a constant. Customers demand something more than just an average experience with a business. They want and deserve consistent good service that they can rely on. The more effort a Customer has to apply to interact with your business, the less likely they will remain a Customer. It sounds so basic but you would be surprised how many businesses struggle because they fail to understand their Customers needs.
